Associate professor Margaret Darrow installs a GPS tracking module along the Dalton Highway about 225 miles north of Fairbanks. Darrow and a team of state geologists are tracking movement on a series of frozen debris lobes which have appeared along the Dietrich River valley in the southern Brooks Range, which could threaten the highway and the nearby trans-Alaska pipeline.
