Researchers with UAF's School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences and the Alaska Center for Energy and Power (ACEP) watch as debris hits a prototype deployment boom on a barge anchored in the Tanana River near Nenana. They're part of a team conducting research on the feasibility of using the river current to generate electricity for potential use throughout rural Alaska.
