Geophysical Institute graduate student Joanna Young packs gear before taking a helicopter to access sites on the Jarvis Glacier, about 35 miles south of Delta Junction. Young is part of a UAF team investigating future flow in rivers coming directly from glaciers, as bridges and road networks can be affected by varying water levels.
